WebMay 4, 2015 · I successfully got Endpoint Backup to connect to my Veeam B&R server. I have been running backups on a handful of workstations. I am receiving a warning email from one of the workstations stating "Unable to exclude files from snapshot: Shadow Copy Optimization Writer is not available (see Windows event log for more info)." WebJun 25, 2024 · I cannot seem to get Server backup to NOT want to use that VSS writer, so I'd like to just disable it or delete it so that Server backup (or the VSS Shadow copy option that is used by Backup Exec Advanced Open File Option) runs successfully.
